Businesses can access training and upskilling services through Retail Ireland Skillnet, IMAGE Skillnet, one of our sectoral or multi-sector networks in their region or via one of our national initiatives. Areas include retail management, marketing, advertising, customer service, sales, security, beauty, hair and related business services.

Since 2000, Retail Ireland Skillnet has supported the retail sector through industry-led upskilling. Retail Ireland Skillnet provides upskilling programmes at a variety of levels, from Level 5 to Level 9 QQI-accredited programmes. Woodie’s collaborated with the Skillnet Business Network to develop the accredited Seeds for Success programme to address their workforce development issues. The bespoke programme started with 150 employees taking a Level 5 module in Customer Service Training.
Retail Ireland Skillnet enabled Woodie’s to pave the way for enhanced mobility and career progression for its workfoce, while also increasing diversity, equality and inclusion. The collaboration has secured the future of the business by supporting staff and building a confident organisation.
